We’re excited to announce the updated version of our extension for Outlook, now called the AI Extension! This new version introduces a completely redesigned, intuitive, and delightful interface. It also integrates Penbox AI directly into the extension, empowering you to automate where it’s needed while humanizing interactions where it matters most.

Transition Period

For now, you can choose to try the new version by switching to it. However, starting February 1, 2025, the AI Extension will become the default version for all users. We encourage you to explore its new features and enhancements today!

📌 Pinable Extension

You can now pin the extension to keep it open on your mailbox, saving time and effort.

• Read Mode: Pin it while reading emails to keep the extension handy for insights and actions.
• Compose Mode: Pin it while writing emails to streamline interactions. (Note: You will need to pin it separately for each case.)

Insights

The AI Extension enhances your email reading experience with powerful features:

• Email Summaries: Automatically summarizes the content of emails for quick comprehension.
• Action Extraction: Lists actionable items directly from the email.
• Tags: Tags are now visible on your emails, and you’ll soon be able to customize them for your account.

Interactions

Gain a 360° view of all interactions with your contacts:

• See a complete history of past and pending interactions.
• Access a direct deep link to forms you’ve sent via Penbox for seamless follow-ups.

New Email Experience

We’ve completely reimagined the New Email experience to make it faster, more intuitive, and user-friendly—based on your feedback. Here’s what’s improved:

• Automatic Contact Detection: The recipient’s contact is detected from the “To” field, saving you time.
• Simplified Templates: A clearer list of available templates with improved search functionality.
• Quick Form Creation: Create a new form from scratch directly within the extension without navigating to Penbox Studio. (See more under Quick Form.)
• Easy Form Settings: Adjusting form settings is now simpler than ever.
• AI-Generated Email Responses: If no message template is available, the extension generates a draft response based on the form content and email conversation. Add it to your email in one click.
• Signature-Friendly Integration: Drafts are added above your Outlook email body, ensuring your signature stays intact.

Quick Form

A long-awaited feature is here! You can now create a new form on the fly:

• How It Works: Click “New Form,” add the necessary elements with their labels, and save it—all within the extension.
• Smart Form Naming: The extension automatically generates a form name based on its content.
